Thai Me Up began with the idea of bringing the flavor, freshness, and excitement of Thai street food to Oregon via Portland in 2016 as a food cart. Patta and Kim have passion about making Thai food the way they expect to eat back home in Thailand. The popularity of Thailand's street food culture is a result of a few factors: the Thai way of life that revolved around agriculture and food production, the rich culinary tradition, the readily accessible and affordable food that is part of Thai culture, rapid urbanization that created local demand and opportunities in food service, especially in urban areas, as well as rising demand for local foods by foreign visitors. Patta and Kim have used traditional Thai recipes and the freshest quality ingredients to make their vision into a reality.
